What are Even Numbers ?  What are Odd Numbers? This question often comes to the mind of Maths students in early classes.

What are Even Numbers ? 

Even Numbers are numbers which are divisible by 2.
A number is divisible by 2, if the digit at one’s place of that number is 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8.

Examples of Even Numbers

Question 1

Which of the following is an Even number?
49, 12, 31, 33

Explanation

Even Numbers are numbers which are divisible by 2.
A number is divisible by 2, if the digit at one’s place of that number is 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8.
In present case, 12 is divisible by 2
Therefore, 12 is an Even number.

Which of the following is an Even number?
296, 291, 317, 309

What are Odd Numbers ?
